Mike Adams (The Health Ranger)

Mike Adams is the self-described 'Health Ranger' and proprietor of the website Natural News. He is also a dangerous quack who claimed to have cured his Type II diabetes using natural products only. Adams started off selling products to nullify the effects of the Y2K 'bug' and used his experiences to get into the health, supplement and conspiracy business. His Facebook group, mailing list and YouTube platforms came to rival the NY Times and other mainstream media outlets. He appeared on Dr Oz TV show claiming he had found high levels of heavy metals in organic foods; of course, Adams created and sold a “Heavy Metals Defense Powder” via a website he registered a few months before his Dr Oz appearance.

Adams is anti-vaccine, anti-GMO (calling proponents “Nazi collaborators” who should be assassinated) and he claims to be a qualified scientist (from a prominent mid-west university). He is pro homeopathy, supplements (his own of course) and promoted an injectable DIY homeopathic “vaccine” for Ebola. Natural News was described by Steven Novella as: "a crank alt med site that promotes every sort of medical nonsense imaginable." Novella continued: "If it is unscientific, anti scientific, conspiracy-mongering, or downright silly, Mike Adams appears to be all for it – whatever sells the "natural" products he hawks on his site."

The good thing is, last month Facebook has suspended Natural News from posting on the social media platform where it has amassed almost 3 million followers. Natural News had already been banned from Twitter and YouTube. The site was also blacklisted by Google in 2017. Adams called for the the military to intervene and referred to his banning as “online ethnic cleansing” that’s being carried out by people who are hoping to “enslave humanity and create Hell on Earth.”
